Officially subordinate to the Crown, the guild wields near-autonomous power, using arcane instruments and celestial charts to command the winds—ensuring bountiful harvests and cementing Riksmark as a prosperous realm.
Their mastery once made them indispensable, but since the Great War, rival nations have matched their yields. Some whisper the gods resent mortal hands steering the skies.
Membership is by invitation only, delivered via an iridescent-sealed letter—never refused, for service to the guild transcends all else. The selection process remains a mystery, though nobility increasingly fill its ranks, including the king’s twin brother, now the Hand of the King.
With the guild’s influence woven into royalty, questions linger: Do they serve the throne—or control it?
